KEY DATES & REQUIREMENTS
The AOC Summit runs through April 24th – April 26th. Your session will be pre-recorded sometime in March to avoid any technical issues. While it is not required that you are available during the release of your presentation, it can help with your own promotion and sales, so it’s highly recommended!
SPEAKERS ARE REQUIRED TO:
- Attend the Speaker Networking Hour (date and time TBD)
- Promote your presentation to your audience between March 15th and April 26th, depending on the release of your presentation.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
- Speaker applications are due by February 15th
- All speakers will be chosen and notified by March 1st
- If you are chosen to speak, we will record your 30 minute session between March 4th and March 29th.

+ What is the Agents of Change Digital Marketing Summit?
It’s a free, virtual summit featuring 30 of the world’s top marketing experts, sharing their best secrets with owners, marketers, and entrepreneurs looking to generate more business online.
+ Why is it free?
We want to provide this information to anyone who wants it, who is looking for ways to increase their online visibility to grow their business.
+ How many people do you expect to register?
Based on our reach, the reach of our 30 speakers, our planned ad campaigns, and previous similar events, we’re conservatively predicting between 1.5K – 2.5K signups for the free version with 30% of those people upgrading to a paid ticket.
+ How do you (and I) make money?
We’ll be offering a few paid upgrades that we feel will encourage a good portion of the attendees to upgrade to a paid ticket. The free version only allows you to watch the videos while we’re streaming them; the paid version includes on-demand access for a full year, transcripts, notes, and more.
Paying attendees will also get access to special freebies and offers from our speakers (like you!) and sponsors that will make the cost of a ticket the best offer they get all year.
We will give affiliate codes to all of the speakers, including you. When anyone signs up for the event—even if they sign up for the free version—you’ll get credit. And when they upgrade to a paid version you’ll get 50% of the upgrade. No muss, no fuss.
+ What do I need to know about my session?
We will pre-record it together, and it should last 30 minutes. While I know that’s not a lot of time, we encourage you to share your best, most actionable tactics to make this event amazing, and to help you stand out and generate more business for yourself.
We won’t require your attendance during the “live” stream of your session, but it tends to increase engagement and sales of your product, service, or offering.
+ Who (or what) is The Agents of Change?
AOC has been around for over a decade, both as a live conference in Portland, Maine, as well as a weekly podcast interviewing many of today’s top digital marketing experts.
This coming October the conference will enter its 10th year of existence, and the podcast has over 500 episodes and climbing.
AOC is the brainchild of Rich Brooks, (that’s me!) who also founded flyte new media, a digital agency located in Portland, Maine, established way back in 1997! That’s over 26 years of digital marketing experience.
+ Why are you suddenly putting on a virtual summit?
While I love the in-person conference experience, I realize that not everyone can come to Portland, Maine, in October for a day (or two) of learning. Between the cost for travel, hotel, and tickets, plus the time off from work, it’s a lot to ask of many SMBs and their employees.
I also recognize that although we provide a free weekly podcast, not everyone learns best through just audio. Our goal, my mission, is to provide the best quality content for businesses (and non-profits) that are looking to grow and do good in the world.
